A handmade ceramic lampshade, finished with Black Truffle, a deep black glaze that creates a beautiful contrast with the natural stoneware clay.

I have left the upper part of the lampshade unglazed, allowing the warm colour of the clay and the throwing lines from the pottery wheel to remain visible. The Black Truffle glaze covers the lower part and continues across the inside, creating a beautiful contrast between the natural clay and the glossy glazed surface.

With a diameter of 21.5 cm, this lampshade has a little more presence than the smaller version while still remaining a subtle pendant light. It is a lovely size for hanging above a bedside table, side table or kitchen counter, or for hanging two or three together above a kitchen island or dining table.

The Black Truffle Series is inspired by the deep, earthy tones and natural beauty of black truffles. Its rich matte glaze moves between warm black, charcoal and subtle brown tones as the light changes, giving each piece a quiet depth and understated elegance.

Many of the pieces are individually carved by hand, creating textured surfaces that catch the light and make the dark glaze feel even more alive. Alongside the smoother forms, each piece is handmade in small batches, allowing the natural variations in the carving, clay and glaze to make every one completely unique.
