Faceted Cup – Cobalt Blue & Glossy White #04

These cups have a little bit of attitude, and I love that about them. I carved each one by hand after throwing it on the wheel, cutting in those crisp angles so the glaze would break and pool in different ways. The cobalt blue splashes were the last step—a quick, loose brush of color that moves however it wants during the firing. No two cups ever come out the same, and that surprise is my favorite part.
