This handmade Matcha Whisk Holder from the Kuro Ash Collection is wheel-thrown in stoneware to care for your bamboo whisk (chasen) while adding depth and character to your matcha setup.
Made using ash-grey stoneware clay and finished with a deep glossy black glaze, each holder develops its own unique personality during firing. The glaze settles and moves differently on every piece, creating subtle variations and one-of-a-kind details that make each whisk holder completely unique.
Designed as a ceramic chasen holder, this piece helps maintain the shape of your bamboo whisk while keeping your tea tools beautifully displayed between uses.

I create every piece by hand in my home studio. The name IKKAI means “one time,” reflecting the individual character of everything I make. No two pieces are exactly the same, and that is what makes handmade ceramics so special.
My goal is to create ceramics that bring beauty, joy and a sense of connection to your everyday rituals.
