This medium Japanese furoshiki wrapping cloth features the Sora Check design by minä perhonen in navy blue. At first glance, it looks like a simple checked pattern. Look closer and the individual character of each hand-drawn square becomes visible, giving the geometric design a softer, more expressive feel.
Made in Japan from 100% organic cotton, this 70 × 70 cm cloth is a reusable fabric gift wrap for presents and everyday use. Wrap a ceramic bowl, a bottle or several small gifts, then keep the cloth to use again.
Buying ceramics as a gift? We can wrap them for you in this furoshiki. See the Gift Wrapping dropdown below for sizes and instructions.

GIFT WRAPPING
GIFT WRAPPING
We’re happy to wrap your ceramics in the furoshiki you order. Choose the cloth size to suit your gift:
Small: Up to two cups, a matcha bowl and whisk holder, or two small vases.
Medium: A plate, bowl, medium vase or several smaller items wrapped together.
The fit depends on the shape and dimensions of your chosen pieces.
You must select the gift wrap option at checkout and add a note telling us which pieces you’d like wrapped together. Otherwise, we’ll pack the cloth separately.
WAYS TO USE YOUR FUROSHIKI
WAYS TO USE YOUR FUROSHIKI
Furoshiki is a traditional Japanese wrapping cloth that can be folded and tied in different ways.
Use yours to wrap a gift, carry a lunch box or keep small belongings together in your bag. The best use depends on the size of the cloth and the item you’re wrapping.
After giving or receiving it, untie it, fold it away and use it again. The wrapping becomes part of the gift.

ABOUT OUR FUROSHIKI
ABOUT OUR FUROSHIKI
Our furoshiki are made in Japan and selected by us to complement our handmade ceramics.
I’ve always loved the care that goes into Japanese gift wrapping. A simple piece of cloth, folded and tied thoughtfully, makes giving something feel even more special.
Unlike our ceramics, these cloths aren’t made in our studio. We choose designs we love, from traditional Japanese motifs to playful patterns, for you to enjoy and reuse long after the gift has been opened.
