Rounded Breakfast Bowl – Mori

This is one of those bowls I reach for all the time — a bit of granola in the morning, soup at lunch, or some rice in the evening. It has a soft, rounded shape that feels just right in the hands, and the weight gives it a sturdy, everyday comfort.

Each bowl is thrown on the wheel using warm toffee colored clay and finished with a flowing combination of clear glaze and glossy green glaze. The contrast where the two glazes meet is different on every piece — sometimes dramatic, sometimes gentle — and always unique.

About the Mori Series

The word Mori means forest in Japanese — a symbol of depth, stillness, and renewal. This series reflects that spirit through its flowing green glaze and warm clay body, meeting in surfaces that are always spontaneous and alive.

Each piece is wheel-thrown and glazed by hand, allowing the glaze to move freely and settle in ways that can never be repeated. The Mori Series carries the calm strength of the forest, bringing a touch of green into everyday life.
