Yunomi Cup - Kuro #02

The Kuro Yunomi Cup is inspired by volcanic stone, earthy textures, and dark natural tones. The outside is finished in heavily textured dark brown clay, creating movement and depth across the surface, while the inside is covered in a deep glossy dark glaze that catches the light beautifully.
The contrast between the rough textured exterior and smooth glossy interior gives the cup a strong and earthy character while still feeling balanced and comfortable to hold.
Each cup is thrown on the wheel by hand, allowing the texture, glaze movement, and subtle variations to become part of the final piece. No two are ever exactly alike.

Why You’ll Love It
This cup has a very raw and earthy feel to it. The textured clay gives the outside an almost volcanic stone-like surface, while the glossy dark interior adds warmth and depth depending on the light.
The shape feels solid and comfortable in the hands, making it perfect for tea, coffee, matcha, or any warm drink throughout the day.
The balance between rough and smooth gives these cups a calm and grounded character that fits beautifully into everyday life.
Pair it with other pieces from the Kuro Collection for a beautiful earthy tea setup.

About the Kuro Collection
“Kuro” means black in Japanese. The Kuro Collection is inspired by volcanic textures, dark stone surfaces, and natural earthy materials.
The textured clay moves differently on every piece, creating depth and variation that can never be repeated exactly the same way twice. No two pieces are ever identical, and those differences are embraced as part of the handmade process.
