This hand-carved Matcha Bowl is part of my Black Truffle Series. After throwing the bowl on my pottery wheel, I carve the outside by hand, creating a flowing pattern that wraps around the form.
The rich Black Truffle glaze settles into the deeper lines, highlighting the design with warm black, charcoal and earthy brown tones. Every bowl has its own carved pattern, ranging from soft curves to stronger vertical lines.
Please note: The matcha whisk, spoon and whisk holder shown in the photographs are not included, but can be purchased separately.

WHY YOU’LL LOVE IT
WHY YOU’LL LOVE IT
The smooth, rounded interior provides plenty of space to whisk matcha comfortably, while the small foot gives the bowl a balanced shape. The textured outside feels beautiful in your hands and gives this practical matcha bowl a sculptural quality.
It’s made for preparing and enjoying matcha, but it also looks beautiful displayed on an open shelf between uses.
ABOUT THE SERIES
ABOUT THE SERIES
The Black Truffle Series is inspired by the deep, earthy tones and natural beauty of black truffles. Its rich matte glaze moves between warm black, charcoal and subtle brown tones as the light changes, giving each piece a quiet depth and understated elegance.
Many of the pieces are individually carved by hand, creating textured surfaces that catch the light and make the dark glaze feel even more alive. Alongside the smoother forms, each piece is handmade in small batches, allowing the natural variations in the carving, clay and glaze to make every one completely unique.
