A handmade ceramic matcha bowl finished in a rich burgundy glaze, with every line individually carved into the exterior by hand.

The carved pattern moves around the bowl, creating an uneven, tactile surface that feels almost sculptural. The glossy glaze settles more deeply into the cuts, revealing darker brown and wine-red tones alongside the warmer burgundy surface.

Its gently rounded shape and softly irregular rim give the bowl a natural appearance, while the small foot keeps it stable during whisking.

The colour changes beautifully with the light. It appears warmer and more reddish in direct sunlight, becoming deeper and closer to dark burgundy in softer light.

Please note: The matcha whisk, spoon and whisk holder shown in the photographs are not included, but can be purchased separately.

      The deep burgundy colour feels warm and earthy rather than bright red. Darker glaze collects inside the carved lines, giving the bowl a rich, layered finish.

      Its rounded shape sits comfortably between both hands and provides a generous area for whisking matcha. The irregular rim and visible carved marks keep the handmade character at the centre of the design.
