This hand-carved Matcha Bowl with Spout is part of my Black Truffle Series. After throwing the bowl on my pottery wheel, I carve the outside by hand, creating deep, flowing lines around the form. The small integrated spout allows you to pour freshly whisked matcha neatly into your favourite cup, making it especially practical for matcha lattes.

The rich Black Truffle glaze settles into the carving, highlighting the pattern with warm black, charcoal and earthy brown tones. Each bowl is carved freely without following an exact design, giving every piece its own character.

Please note: The matcha whisk, spoon and whisk holder shown in the photographs are not included, but can be purchased separately.

      ABOUT THE SERIES

      The Black Truffle Series is inspired by the deep, earthy tones and natural beauty of black truffles. Its rich matte glaze moves between warm black, charcoal and subtle brown tones as the light changes, giving each piece a quiet depth and understated elegance.

      Many of the pieces are individually carved by hand, creating textured surfaces that catch the light and make the dark glaze feel even more alive. Alongside the smoother forms, each piece is handmade in small batches, allowing the natural variations in the carving, clay and glaze to make every one completely unique.
