These rectangular rests from the Yuki Series were made with slow mornings and quiet dinners in mind. I shape each one by hand, one at a time, with soft corners and a clean, simple form. The white glaze flows naturally over the warm toffee clay—sometimes smooth, sometimes a little wavy—always different, always its own.
They’re just right for resting your chopsticks or matcha spoon. A small, honest piece that brings a little calm to your table or tea moment.

Why You’ll Love It
These little rests are part of the rhythm in my studio—small moments of focus between bowls and bigger forms. I love how something so simple can add so much care to a table. They’re great when you’re setting up for dinner, or just making a quiet bowl of matcha in the afternoon.
They hold a chashaku or a pair of chopsticks with ease, keeping everything clean and peaceful. And since they’re all shaped by hand, each one feels personal—like it belongs to your home, not just your kitchen.
About the Yuki Series
The Yuki Series is inspired by the softness and stillness of freshly fallen snow. Each piece is made with warm toffee clay and finished with a flowing, glossy white glaze—highlighting the contrast between raw earth and gentle light. The name Yuki, meaning “snow” in Japanese, reflects the quiet beauty, calm, and purity found in this collection.
Every bowl, cup, and holder in the series carries its own character—subtle variations in shape, tone, and glaze that celebrate the handmade process and invite you to slow down and enjoy the moment.
