Ceramic Lampshades

Handmade ceramic lampshades, individually thrown and glazed in my home studio in Beverwijk, the Netherlands. Each shade has its own glaze movement and texture, so no two pieces cast quite the same light.

I regularly add new, one-of-a-kind lampshades during my shop updates. These are already finished and can be purchased directly through the website when available.

I also make lampshades to order in three of my signature glazes: Mori, Yuki and Inyo. You can choose your preferred size, shape and cord, then email me to discuss your order and current production time.

As every lampshade is handmade, each one will have its own natural variations and unique character.

A Helpful Size Reference

The three lampshades shown here are all the small size, measuring approximately 21 cm in diameter.

I’m often asked about making larger lampshades for kitchen islands, but bigger ceramic shades quickly become heavier and bulkier. As this project shows, several smaller lampshades can create a balanced result and spread light beautifully across a large kitchen island.
