The Yuki Ash Espresso Cup is wheel-thrown using an ash-grey stoneware clay and finished with a soft flowing glossy white glaze. The darker clay body gives the glaze a calm and natural appearance, while the exposed textured clay adds warmth and character to the piece.
Each cup is handmade individually in my studio, allowing the throwing lines, soft curves, and natural glaze movement to become part of its final personality. The glaze settles differently every time, creating subtle movement and variation that makes each cup completely one of a kind.
Its slightly flared shape feels comfortable in the hand and gives the cup a relaxed, organic character. Perfect for espresso, ristretto, or a small coffee enjoyed at a slower pace.

Because each cup is handmade on my pottery wheel, you may notice slight variations in shape, size, and glaze pattern (from the one in the photo) - these subtle differences make every piece one of a kind.
Why You’ll Love It
What I love most about this espresso cup is the contrast between the textured ash-grey clay and the soft white glaze flowing across the surface. During firing, the glaze naturally settles and moves, creating gentle drips, soft transitions, and unique details that can never be repeated exactly the same way.
The slightly flared form gives the cup a distinctive character while also making it comfortable to hold. The darker clay brings an earthy warmth to the piece, while the glossy white glaze adds softness and light.
