Faceted Matcha Bowl with Spout - Hinoki #01
Faceted Matcha Bowl with Spout - Hinoki #01

Part of the Hinoki Series, this faceted matcha bowl combines strong geometric lines with the rich green glaze that has become a signature of the collection.
After throwing, the bowl was carefully shaped by hand to create its faceted form. The flat planes catch the light differently from every angle, giving the bowl a sculptural quality while still feeling comfortable and natural to use. The deep green glaze settles across the surface with beautiful variation, highlighting the contours and adding depth to the piece.
The integrated pouring spout makes it perfect for preparing and pouring matcha lattes. Practical to use, yet beautiful enough to leave on display.
Please note: This bowl has a small cosmetic glaze flaw near the pouring spout where a tiny area of glaze did not fully attach during firing. This does not affect the strength, usability, or durability of the piece in any way and is purely cosmetic. Please refer to the photographs for details.

Every bowl in this series is thrown on my potter’s wheel, so no two are exactly the same. The little differences in shape and glaze are what make each one special.
Please note: The matcha whisk, spoon, and whisk holder are not included, but can be added to complete your tea setup.
Why You’ll Love It
This is a bowl designed for people who enjoy the process of making matcha as much as drinking it.
The faceted shape gives the bowl a distinctive character, with each plane reflecting light differently and creating subtle changes in appearance throughout the day. The slightly irregular rim and hand-shaped form ensure that no two pieces are exactly alike.
The generous interior provides plenty of room for whisking matcha, while the pouring spout makes it easy to prepare matcha lattes, hot drinks, or even small servings of sauce and dressings.
What I particularly love about this bowl is the contrast between its strong geometric silhouette and the natural movement of the glaze. Together they create a piece that feels both contemporary and timeless.
Complete your matcha ritual by pairing this bowl with a Matching Whisk Holder or Bamboo Tea Accessories for the perfect tea-making experience.
About the Hinoki Series
The Hinoki Series is inspired by the vibrant green color of the Hinoki tree, a symbol of purity, calmness, and serenity in Japanese culture. The tree’s rich, soothing green tones are reflected in this collection, evoking a sense of tranquility and elegance. The matcha bowls in this series are extra special, with a textured layer that requires more craftsmanship and attention to detail. This added layer not only enhances the visual appeal but also adds depth and character to each piece, making them perfect for your tea rituals.
