Small Footed Serving Bowl – Eggshell

This Small Footed Serving Bowl is finished in a soft matte eggshell glaze and made from a speckled stoneware clay. During firing, the subtle speckles in the clay gently show through the glaze, creating depth, warmth, and character across the surface.
The wide open form and raised foot give the bowl a light, balanced appearance, while the soft matte finish allows the shape and natural beauty of the clay to take centre stage. It's one of those pieces that feels simple at first glance but reveals more character the longer you live with it.
Each bowl is thrown individually on the wheel in my home studio. Small variations in the glaze, subtle throwing lines, and the handmade nature of the piece ensure that no two are ever exactly alike.

Why You’ll Love It
What I love most about this bowl is the combination of the matte eggshell glaze and the speckled clay beneath. The tiny speckles softly emerge through the glaze, giving the surface depth and movement without overwhelming its calm appearance. The result is a bowl that feels simple and understated, yet full of subtle details that reveal themselves the longer you look at it.
The wide shape makes it perfect for serving fruit, pastries, olives, nuts, small salads, desserts, or side dishes. It's large enough to be useful but small enough to fit comfortably on almost any table. The raised foot gives the bowl a beautiful profile and lifts it slightly above the surface, adding a subtle sense of elegance without feeling formal.
Whether you're entertaining friends or simply setting the table for yourself, this is the kind of piece that naturally becomes part of everyday life.
Pair it with our handcrafted wooden spoon for a simple, natural combination that adds warmth to your tea or table ritual.
