There is something I’ve always loved about lidded jars. They are one of those pieces that seem to find a purpose no matter where you put them.
This handmade ceramic jar is wheel-thrown in my home studio and finished by hand, creating a piece that feels both practical and special. The lid sits neatly on top, making it perfect for storing all sorts of everyday treasures while adding a little handmade character to your home.

- Size: 10.5cm height x 10cm diameter

Why You’ll Love It
I love making these jars because they seem to fit naturally into so many different parts of the home.
They work beautifully in the kitchen for tea, coffee, sugar, or matcha sweets, but they're just as useful for jewellery, keepsakes, cotton pads, or all those little things that never seem to have a proper place.
The form is inspired by the simple, honest shapes often found in Japanese pottery. Nothing complicated, just a well-made jar with a lid that feels good in the hand and looks beautiful sitting on a shelf or countertop.
Because each one is thrown individually on the wheel, you'll notice small differences from piece to piece. The glaze may flow slightly differently, the lid may sit a little differently, and the throwing lines remain visible in places. Those details are part of what make handmade pottery special.
These are the kind of pieces that become part of daily life. Useful enough to use every day, but nice enough that you'll leave them out on display.
