This handmade matcha bowl is finished in my Black Truffle glaze, a deep charcoal glaze with smoky brown tones and subtle variations across the surface.

The raised branch design is applied by hand using slip before glazing. Small rounded details sit along the branches like buds, giving the bowl a tactile surface and a different appearance from every angle.

Its tall, gently rounded shape provides plenty of space for whisking matcha while sitting comfortably between both hands.

Please note: The matcha whisk, whisk holder and spoon are not included, but can be added to complete your tea setup.

The Black Truffle Series is inspired by the deep, earthy tones and natural beauty of black truffles. Its rich matte glaze moves between warm black, charcoal and subtle brown tones as the light changes, giving each piece a quiet depth and understated elegance.

Many of the pieces are individually carved by hand, creating textured surfaces that catch the light and make the dark glaze feel even more alive. Alongside the smoother forms, each piece is handmade in small batches, allowing the natural variations in the carving, clay and glaze to make every one completely unique.
