This matcha bowl is thrown on the pottery wheel before slip is applied by hand to the outside, creating the bold, flowing pattern across the surface.

The glossy black glaze moves over the slip decoration and develops deep reddish-brown tones during firing. Parts of the warm Toffee clay remain visible between the darker glazed areas, creating a strong contrast and giving the bowl plenty of depth and movement.

The inside is fully glazed and smooth, with a rounded shape that gives you plenty of room for whisking matcha.

Please note: The matcha whisk, spoon, and whisk holder are not included, but can be added to complete your tea setup.

WHY YOU’LL LOVE IT

The bold contrast between the glossy dark glaze and exposed Toffee clay makes this bowl stand out from every angle. Deep reddish-brown tones appear where the glaze moves across the carved surface, adding even more depth and character.

The inside remains smooth and spacious for whisking matcha, while the carved exterior feels substantial and interesting in your hands. It is a functional matcha bowl, but also a one-of-a-kind piece of ceramic art.
