Soft, calm, and inspired by the gentle movement of water. This handmade Matcha Bowl is finished in a matte blue glaze that gives it a quiet and timeless appearance.
The dark clay remains visible at the foot, creating a beautiful contrast with the blue glaze above. The rounded shape sits comfortably in the hands and is designed to make preparing matcha both easy and enjoyable.
Each bowl is individually wheel-thrown and glazed by hand in my home studio. No two are ever exactly alike.

Why You’ll Love It
The name Mizu means water in Japanese. The soft blue glaze and simple form give this bowl a calm and natural feel inspired by lakes, rivers, and the sea.
The rounded shape offers plenty of room for whisking matcha into a smooth, creamy foam, while the gently curved walls help create the perfect texture. Subtle throwing lines remain visible beneath the glaze, celebrating the handmade process and giving each bowl its own character.
Simple, understated, and designed to be enjoyed every day.
I create every piece by hand in my studio. The name "IKKAI" means "one time," which reflects the uniqueness of each item I make. No two pieces are ever the same, and that’s what makes them special. My goal is to craft ceramics that bring joy, beauty, and a sense of connection to your everyday life.
