Matcha Bowl - Pale Blue
Matcha Bowl - Pale Blue

There’s something wonderfully soft about this matcha bowl. Made from a dark grey stoneware clay and finished with a white glaze, the interaction between the clay and glaze during firing creates beautiful pale blue tones across the surface. The result is a colour that feels calm, subtle, and full of depth.
The rounded shape sits comfortably in the hands, while the exposed clay foot adds warmth and contrast to the piece. No two bowls ever fire exactly the same, making each one completely unique.

Why You’ll Love It
What I love most about this bowl is the way the glaze responds to the clay body beneath it. Although the glaze itself is white, the dark grey clay transforms it during firing, creating soft pale blue tones that give the bowl a calm and distinctive character.
The rounded form feels balanced and comfortable in the hands, making it ideal for preparing and enjoying matcha. The generous shape allows plenty of room for whisking, while the gently curved walls help create a smooth and creamy foam.
Subtle throwing lines remain visible beneath the glaze, reminding you that each bowl was made slowly by hand on the pottery wheel. These small details, combined with the natural variation created during firing, ensure that every piece has its own personality.
This is the kind of bowl that feels at home in both modern and traditional settings. Simple, understated, and designed to be enjoyed every day.
Complete your matcha ritual by pairing this bowl with a Matching Whisk Holder or Bamboo Tea Accessories for the perfect tea-making experience.
