Ramen Bowl – Mizu
Ramen Bowl – Mizu

Named after the Japanese word for water, this handmade Ramen Bowl captures the quiet movement and depth of natural blue tones. The Mizu glaze shifts from soft blue-grey to deeper shades of indigo, creating a surface that feels calm, layered, and full of character.
The contrast between the cool blue interior and the warm natural clay rim gives the bowl a balanced and understated appearance. It's a piece that feels just as beautiful sitting on a shelf as it does filled with food.
Product Details
- Shape: Deep rounded ramen bowl with a trimmed foot
- Size: Approx. 9cm height x 18cm diameter
- Finish: Blue glaze interior with natural clay rim and exterior
- Material: Durable stoneware clay, high-fired at 1222°C
Each bowl is handmade and one of a kind. Small variations in shape, glaze, and colour are part of what makes every piece unique.
Why You’ll Love It
What I love most about this bowl is the depth of the glaze. Depending on the light, the surface can appear soft and misty one moment, then reveal richer blue tones the next. The colour settles differently during every firing, ensuring that each bowl develops its own unique pattern and character.
The deep rounded shape makes it perfect for ramen, noodle dishes, soups, grain bowls, and generous salads. It feels substantial in the hands while remaining elegant and balanced on the table.
Pair it with our handcrafted wooden spoon for a simple, natural combination that adds warmth to your tea or table ritual.
