Tall Textured Matcha Bowl - Hinoki Series #02

This Tall Matcha bowl is part of my Hinoki Series, and it’s one I truly love. Inspired by the deep green hues of the hinoki tree, I wanted this piece to feel grounding—like a quiet walk through the forest. The glossy glaze flows from mossy green to black and soft grey, with just the right amount of movement to catch the light and draw you in.

Its taller shape gives it a bold presence, while still feeling gentle and calm in your hands. I put extra care into this one, letting the glazes melt and blend naturally in the kiln, creating a finish that’s completely one-of-a-kind.

Every bowl in this series is thrown on my potter’s wheel, so no two are exactly the same. The little differences in shape and glaze are what make each one special.
