Dark, textured, and full of character. This handmade Matcha Bowl is finished in my Black Truffle glaze and features a subtle slip texture that adds depth and movement to the exterior. The rich dark glaze flows naturally across the rim and into the interior, creating beautiful variation that makes each bowl completely unique.
Its rounded shape feels comfortable in the hands and offers plenty of space for whisking matcha.

Why You’ll Love It
What makes this bowl special is the balance between texture and simplicity.
The subtle slip texture creates gentle movement across the exterior, allowing the light to catch the surface in different ways throughout the day. Combined with the flowing Black Truffle glaze, it gives the bowl a natural and organic appearance without feeling overly decorative.
Inside, the glossy glaze develops rich tones of charcoal, black, and warm earthy brown during firing. Around the rim, the glaze breaks and pools naturally, creating details that can never be repeated exactly the same way twice.
I create every piece by hand in my studio. The name "IKKAI" means "one time," which reflects the uniqueness of each item I make. No two pieces are ever the same, and that’s what makes them special. My goal is to craft ceramics that bring joy, beauty, and a sense of connection to your everyday life.
