Part of the Hinoki Series, this faceted matcha bowl came out of the kiln with a bold glaze that flowed just right—rich dark green fading into deep black, settling along the carved ridges in a way that feels both raw and refined.

It’s not a deep bowl. The form is low and wide, with a lifted foot that gives it just the right amount of presence. The shallow shape gives this chawan an open, grounded presence. It feels inviting in the hands—easy to whisk in, lovely to sip from, and full of quiet character.

• Shape: A faceted, hand-carved exterior and lifted foot
• Size: 7cm height x 11cm diameter
• Capacity: Approx. 450ml
• Finish: Glossy green glaze with delicate drips
• Material: Durable stoneware clay, fired at 1222°C

Every bowl in this series is thrown on my potter’s wheel, so no two are exactly the same. The little differences in shape and glaze are what make each one special.

Please note: The matcha whisk, spoon, and whisk holder are not included, but can be added to complete your tea setup.
