Faceted Matcha Bowl - Hinoki Series #03

Part of the Hinoki Series, this faceted matcha bowl came out of the kiln with deep green glaze drips that caught me completely off guard—in the best way. The glaze moved in ways I couldn’t have planned, catching on each carved line.

The shape was carved by hand, with gentle facets that play with the light and bring out the depth in the glaze. The slightly flared rim and lifted foot give it a quiet balance—one of those bowls that just feels right as soon as you pick it up.

• Shape: A faceted, hand-carved exterior and lifted foot
• Size: 7.5cm height x 11cm diameter
• Capacity: Approx. 450ml
• Finish: Glossy green glaze
• Material: Durable stoneware clay, fired at 1222°C

Every bowl in this series is thrown on my potter’s wheel, so no two are exactly the same. The little differences in shape and glaze are what make each one special.

Please note: The matcha whisk, spoon, and whisk holder are not included, but can be added to complete your tea setup.
