A striking serving bowl with a deep, organic form and dramatic glaze movement that makes every piece completely unique. Wheel-thrown by hand in my home studio, this bowl combines flowing Tenmoku glaze with glossy clear glaze, creating the rich natural contrasts that have become a signature of the Inyo Series.
The rim gently rises and falls around the form with soft curves and subtle irregularities, giving the bowl a relaxed, organic character. Combined with the visible throwing rings and flowing glaze patterns, it feels natural, expressive, and beautifully handmade.

Why You’ll Love It
This deep bowl is perfect for serving fruit, pasta, salads, or even as a mixing bowl in the kitchen.
The flowing Tenmoku and clear glazes create rich natural variations in tones of honey, olive, bronze, and deep brown, making each piece completely unique. The softly undulating rim and visible throwing rings give the bowl a calm, organic character inspired by Japanese pottery.
Whether used every day or displayed on the table, it brings both beauty and practicality to your home. Because each bowl is made entirely by hand, slight variations in shape and glaze are part of what make every piece one of a kind.
About the Inyo Series
The Inyo Series was born from an experiment: dipping one piece in two contrasting glazes and letting them flow together across the clay. The result reminded me of a landscape — layered, spontaneous, and full of contrast.
“Inyo” is the Japanese word for yin and yang, and this series reflects that idea through both form and finish. Every bowl becomes its own meeting point between opposites, where something new and unexpected always appears.
Each piece is handmade slowly and intuitively, carrying a surface that feels alive and balanced. The Inyo Series is a reminder that beauty often comes from contrast.
