Inyo

The Inyo Series is all about balance and contrast. In Japanese, inyo carries the idea of opposites that belong together—light and dark, soft and strong, raw and refined.

Each piece in this collection is made from warm toffee-colored stoneware and glazed by hand. The surfaces are half-dipped in glossy tenmoku and half in clear glaze, meeting in flowing lines that are never the same twice. Sometimes the glazes overlap, sometimes they pull apart—always creating something alive and unique.
