This ceramic plate is part of the Inyo Series, but with a small twist. Because of the shape, I chose to finish it entirely in glossy clear glaze. The deep, reflective surface feels strong and expressive, while the raw clay edge still connects it to the rest of the series. Together, they make a perfect match.
The form is low and open with a gentle curve and just enough rim, making it versatile for everyday use. I often reach for this size — for breakfast, a light lunch, or smaller dishes throughout the day. It’s the kind of piece that quietly slips into your daily rhythm.

Why You’ll Love It
This plate shows another side of the Inyo Series. The choice to use only clear glaze makes it bold and expressive, while the raw clay edge keeps it grounded and connected to the rest of the collection.
It’s simple, versatile, and timeless — ideal for breakfast, dessert, or a small lunch. It also layers beautifully with larger plates, letting you mix and match within the series.
Not a plate that shouts for attention, but one that makes every meal feel a little more thoughtful. A piece that belongs on the table every day.
About the Inyo Series
The Inyo Series is about contrast and balance. Inyo is the Japanese word for yin and yang, and this collection reflects that spirit — through glaze, form, and intention.
Most pieces bring together two glazes, tenmoku and clear, flowing across the clay. But this plate shows another approach: keeping it purely tenmoku, letting the darkness stand on its own. The result is still true to the series — bold yet quiet, refined yet raw.
Every piece is wheel-thrown and glazed by hand, which means no two are ever the same. That individuality is the beauty of small-batch work.
