Why You’ll Love It
What makes this plate special is the natural movement of the glaze. During firing, the glossy white glaze gently flows across the surface and over the rim, creating subtle variations and soft transitions that give each piece its own character.
The rounded raised edge frames food beautifully while remaining practical for everyday use. Visible throwing rings beneath the glaze add depth and texture, highlighting the handmade nature of the piece.
At 22 cm wide, it's a versatile size for breakfast, lunch, dinner, pastries, desserts, or smaller sharing dishes. The clean white surface allows colours and textures to stand out naturally, making every meal feel a little more special.
About the Yuki Series
The Yuki Series is inspired by the gentle stillness of snow. In Japanese, yuki means snow—a symbol of softness, quiet, and presence. Each piece in this collection reflects that feeling through flowing white glaze, warm toffee clay, and calm, rounded forms.
This series is about balance—between raw and refined, textured and smooth, earth and light. No two pieces are ever the same. The glaze settles naturally, embracing each curve in its own way, much like snow melting across stone.
Created for slow rituals and meaningful moments, the Yuki Series brings a quiet kind of beauty into the everyday.
