Rounded Berry Bowl - Inyo #01
Rounded Berry Bowl - Inyo #01
Couldn't load pickup availability
A softly rounded berry bowl from the Inyo Series, made for easy mornings and relaxed afternoons. Its gentle, low form invites you to fill it with freshly rinsed fruit—strawberries, cherries, grapes—or even garden herbs. The matching drip plate catches any excess water, so you can move straight from sink to table without needing an extra dish.
Half-dipped in glossy tenmoku and clear glaze, the finish flows across the warm clay in deep, earthy tones that shift beautifully in the light. Each bowl carries its own quiet movement, making it one of a kind.
Product Details
- Size: Approx. 16 cm diameter × 6.5 cm height
- Finish: Tenmoku and clear glaze over stoneware clay, each flow one of a kind
- Material: High-fired stoneware
- Design: Drainage holes at the base for rinsing fruit, herbs, or small vegetables
Since each bowl is handmade, there may be slight variations in shape, size, and glaze from the photo—these small differences make every bowl unique.
Why You’ll Love It
This bowl turns a simple task—washing berries—into a small pleasure. The rich tenmoku glaze flows like molten metal against the natural clay, creating an organic contrast that feels both bold and serene. Perfect for serving fresh fruit, grape tomatoes, or even for straining herbs, it goes directly from kitchen sink to table in one elegant step.
About the Inyo Series
The Inyo Series began as a quiet experiment. I was curious what might happen if I dipped each piece in two different glazes — one dark and rich tenmoku, the other soft and transparent clear glaze. The result reminded me of a landscape: layered, spontaneous, and full of contrast.
“Inyo” is the Japanese word for yin and yang — and this series reflects that idea in both form and finish. Where the two glazes meet, something new and unexpected always appears. Some flows are bold, others gentle — each piece completely unique.
Every item in the series is made slowly and intuitively by hand. The variation in the glazes gives them a sense of quiet movement, and a presence that goes beyond function.
