Sushi Plate – Yuki #02

This rectangular plate begins as a tall cylinder on the wheel. While the clay is still firm, I carefully cut it open and ease it flat by hand, allowing the form to relax naturally. The soft curves along the edges still hint at its round beginnings, giving the plate movement and quiet character.

Finished in a soft white glaze from the Yuki Series, the surface feels calm and light, while subtle areas of exposed clay add warmth and depth. After the final high-temperature firing, each plate carries small variations that make it completely unique.
